Press releases from both schools are forthcoming and it is expected that competition for the scholarships will increase as the program becomes better promoted. In addition, the Project Committee announced that there was new interest from US manufacturers to consider re-starting the internship programs that had been ongoing for several years and that were financially supported by the Association. The Committee also reported that its additional funding to the University of Rolla Science and Technology program that it had started several years ago of creating various ceramic and glass experimentation kits that were then shared with high school age children to interest and excite them in a potential ceramic or glass career in United States manufacturing was continuing.   University of Rolla S & T had advised the Association that 600 to 800 summer camp students would be using the kits that had been developed with financing from the Association this summer alone.
